brfop_mlt

BRF in the cross plane for multiple-scattered (two or more scattering events) radiation

The following three measurements are geometrically defined as brfop. Nevertheless, for

  • brfop_co_sgl only the photons interacting once with the leaves or woody elements (and not with the soil) are considered in the computation of BRFs.
  • brfop_mlt only the photons which interacted twice with any scatterer in the scene are considered in the computation of BRFs.
  • brfop_uc_sgl only the photons which interacted has interacted once only with the underlying background, i.e. the soil (and with nothing else), are considered in the computation of BRFs.

They can be computed for all scenes, bands and illumination conditions defined for brfop.

The output file format is the same as defined in brfop

  • $\theta_i$: Solar Zenith Angle;
  • $\phi_i$: Solar Azimuth Angle;
  • $\theta_r$: Viewing Zenith Angle
  • $\phi_r$: Viewing Azimuth Angle
  • Ratio of filtered rays: The number of rays that perform the measurement divided by the total number of incident rays (for ray-tracing RT models only).
  • Std. Dev. BRF: Indication of the uncertainty in the BRF estimate as estimated from the radiative transfer model itself
